The single crystal diamond tool is brittle, the blade is very sharp, and it is prone to chipping when it is impacted. Therefore, it should be used under balanced and vibration-free working conditions as much as possible. At the same time, the rigidity of the workpiece and the tool and the rigidity of the entire system should be improved as much as possible. To increase its anti-seismic capacity, it is advisable that the cutting amount be less than 0.05mm.
Higher cutting speed can reduce the cutting force, while low-speed cutting will increase the cutting force, thereby accelerating the tool chipping failure. Therefore, the cutting speed should not be too low when using single crystal diamond tools.

④ It has high thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of diamond are high, the cutting heat is easily dissipated, and the temperature of the cutting part of the tool is low.
⑤ Has a low thermal expansion coefficient: The thermal expansion coefficient of diamond is several times smaller than that of cemented carbide, and the change in tool size caused by cutting heat is small, which is particularly important for precision and ultra-precision machining that require high dimensional accuracy.
